Research in the mountains
High risk/ high consequence mountain environments present unique challenges for gathering data. Remoteness, risk, and unpredictable weather can make it hard to get the kinds of precise insights that help produce practical and effective interventions. Using carefully considered protocols and drawing from extensive experience conducting research and working in remote wilderness operations, we are able to integrate with minimal interruption to the work day. We are flexible and adaptable, being both opportunistic and thorough in our data collection.
We have experience with remote settings, extreme cold, mountain travel, helicopter operations, and working on-call hours.
We provide personal protective equipment for alpine snow and ice travel, high-angle operations, along with 4x4 or snowmobile transportation to the work site. We are equipped for extended wilderness camp stays.
